Description:

This module adds a personal message tagging tool to the Odoo Discuss app. When your channels and inbox fill up with hundreds of messages, keeping track of important tasks, bugs, or approvals becomes difficult. Instead of scrolling back or relying on memory, this module lets you organize your view with private labels.

It adds a quick access button to every message, allowing you to assign custom categories like Important, To-Do, or Follow-up. Because these tags are user specific, you can organize a shared channel without changing what your team members see. To find things quickly, there is a new (Tag Filters) menu directly in the left sidebar. The filter works immediately on your screen, hiding all messages that do not match your chosen category.

Purpose:

The main purpose of this module is to save time and make organizing information much easier. Users often spot an important task or file in a busy channel, but lose track of it as new messages pour in. By letting users privately tag messages in their inbox or channels with specific categories, they can quickly filter their view and locate the exact task, document, or approval they need without guessing or endless scrolling.

• Any tag applied to a message is only visible to the user who applied it.

• Tags use standard Odoo color indexes to keep the Discuss interface clean and visually organized.
• Quick Sidebar Filtering:
• Includes a dedicated Tag Filters section in the Discuss sidebar to instantly filter the current chat.
• Auto Reset:
• Filters automatically clear themselves whenever the user navigates to a different chat or channel, preventing confusion.
